Bobby W. Stearns, MSW is a graduate of the School of Social Work at San Diego State University, graduating in 1994 with an emphasis in chemical dependency and child, youth and family. Bobby began his work as a counselor for Pathfinders Recovery Home, and moved to Episcopal Community Services to work in an outpatient program as a counselor. He has worked as a Mental Health Rehabilitative Specialist coordinating and supervising inpatient services for persons suffering with grave mental illness. He was the Program Coordinator for Chemical Dependency Services for: Rancho Park Hospital and Residential Treatment Services, and Alvarado Parkway Institute. He has been the Director of Chemical Dependency Services for The Union of Pan Asian Communities, and the Director of Home Ave Clinic. He was a past Executive Director for the Camp Recovery Center in Scotts Valley California. The program was an 80 bed Residential Treatment Program for Chemical Dependency with a 28 day treatment format. It consisted of a 100 acre residential site, two outpatient programs (housed in Santa Cruz, and San Jose), and one sober living facility in Scotts Valley. Bobby has written grants for Chemical Dependency Services for PC 1000 (Youth Program), Adults of Pan Asian, and Asian descent; while also creating the first Domestic Violence Program specifically for Adult Asian males. He has been a consultant for the delivery of chemical dependency services for an outpatient adolescent treatment program, Charter Hospital North, and Charter API. He has administered state and county contractual services for chemical dependency along with private for profit chemical dependency services delivery with CRC Health Group, Inc.
