Kristin Mahoney has been in recovery since 2002. Kristin took advantage of the gifts sobriety brings, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters in Professional Clinical Counseling in May of 2020 from Grand Canyon University. Kristin is currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Kristin spent 1.5 years at a local Regional Dual Diagnosis Substance Use outpatient treatment center primarily working with individuals who are involved in the legal system via probation, parole, and Child Welfare Services. Kristin is experienced in helping people overcome mental health problems by developing important life skills, improving conflict resolution, developing interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, practicing setting healthy boundaries, improving time management, creating goals, and living mindfully. Kristin utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relapse prevention planning to guide group and individual sessions. Kristin is committed to help those who find themselves needing a residential setting to heal and grow.
